Painless Injections
 In the past 12 years, dental technology has rapidly advanced with the innovations of dental implants, digital x-rays, laser dentistry and more. All of these advancements in dental technology have helped improve the delivery and result of dental services, but in Dr. Guy's opinion one of the most important advancements is the pain free injection.
To attain this goal Dr. Guy employs three different painless injection techniques/instruments and is the only dentist in Bend, Oregon to have all three of these methods:
- The Wand (shown above) is a computer controlled injection system. Also called CompuDent™, it is very small and a standard syringe is not used for this technique.
- The Vibraject is a vibrating syringe. The distraction of the "buzz" of the Vibraject® instrument thoroughly hides any discomfort during the procedure.
- The Syringeject instrument painlessly adds a drop or two of novocaine into the tissue without a needle.
For many people, the thought and procedure of getting numb is the worst part of seeing a dentist. Each of these three new painless injection delivery systems can greatly, if not entirely, reduce the pain associated with traditional injections and also help to ease the fear of seeing a dentist. |
